4. Met with four of Broadway’s top producers – all recipients
of multiple-Tony Awards – all of whom described
“Light in the Tunnel”
as a first-class original concept with strong commercial and
artistic potential and urged us to get our first draft script and
score written ASAP and bring it back to them.

5. Formed a Limited Liability Corporation
– Light in the Tunnel, LLC –
for the purpose of raising the necessary development
investment capital – ongoing and in process – to finance writing
our script/score and providing necessary “stage/theatrical” acting
and movement coaching to our cast of subway performers.
(LLC formation made possible by Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts
and the legal representative they secured for us,
global law firm, Debevoise & Plimpton.)

6. Ongoing “Crowd-funding” outreach to fans, friends, family

7. Typewritten transcribing of preliminary (Round I) interviews

 

April, 2012 – August, 2012

1. Preparation for June, 2012 “intensive” with our script/book writer Barbara Damashek and all our of cast members. Throughout the entire month of June, 2012, Barbara will conduct in-depth primary interviews (Round II) with each individual cast member and also spend time with each of them at their underground/subway station performances

2. Type-written transcribing of primary (Round II) interviews

3. From all interview data and other research, create a blueprint for
writing the first-draft script and musical score.

4. Ongoing fundraising, both development investment and
“crowd-funding” (NON-tax deductible contributions).


September, 2012 – December, 2012

1. Write the first-draft script and musical score under the supervision of our Script/Book Writer, Barbara Damshek and Composer/Arranger/Music Director, Kevin Kuhn.


2. Ongoing fundraising, both development investment and
“crowd-funding” (NON-tax deductible contributions).

3. Conduct an intensive stage-acting and movement workshop
for our entire cast of subway musicians – to be taught by our
associate director and acting coach, Suzanne Shepherd, and
our choreographer, Roger G.

4. Find and sell exclusive option on our first draft script and
musical score to the right Lead Producer/Production Company.

5. Hire a Director and any other essential Creative Team personnel.

6. Begin preparation for first Workshop production: secure the
right theatrical performance venue, finalize any/all legal
contracts with Creative Team and Cast Members, etc., and
make any necessary revisions/re-writes to the
first draft script and musical score.
